Diffuser Necklace Giveaway/Review of Lowcountry Eclectic
Before I focused on this blogging adventure, I used essential oils and sought a diffuser necklace so that I could enjoy aromatherapy all day. I stumbled across an incredible store, Lowcountry Eclectic. There are various types of diffuser necklaces on the market, but I fell in love at first sight with these beautifully handmade (and priced) wooden pendants. So I browsed the designs and ordered the Three Arrows Diffuser Necklace in Silver, and BONUS: each necklace comes with a sample dram of essential oil!
The owner so quickly and kindly responded to me after my order, which is when I first met Amanda. I really dig her, not only because we share a name, but also an affinity for crafting, essential oils and great quality materials. She runs Lowcountry Eclectic with her husband, Tommy (he leather-crafts the cases and cuffs they also sell), and their daughter Samantha whom handles marketing and social media. Actually their whole homeschooling family helps with the business; her young son forages for the unique branches that Tommy will cut into wood circles, their oldest daughter is a manga sketch artist whom sketches the custom designs for wood-burning, and their youngest daughter makes the chain and helps with new designs! Isn’t that a cool family endeavor?!
My arrow necklace and essential oil (I picked the headache relief blend) arrived so promptly, all dolled up in a lovely organza bag with a sweet note…and Amanda even threw in an extra charm! Look at that little bird design that I can clip on to other chains if I’d like. I happily reused that organza bag for a gift I made for a friend, too 🙂
I remember well how I wore my necklace the very next day with a drop of Joy essential oil. I was still fighting some rough postpartum depression/hormonal changes. I happily enjoyed the aroma around my neck ALL DAY. Even for my celebratory nightly lounge on the couch (for surviving the day), the diffusion was still going strong. I did take the necklace off to sleep, of course, and think it’s amazing that the oils will stay on absorbed into the locally-harvested and untreated wood for a very long time. I still usually update it each day I wear it with a new drop though. I don’t know if it is the…joy…that I end up feeling or if it is because I’m technically a walking diffuser for others when I wear it, but I swear people are nicer to me when I have it on!
It feels like my little secret to wear it with a calming oil like Lavender or Peace & Calming when Reece and I need to run errands. The soothing benefits are diffused to me and my toddler as he rides in the cart or wraps himself around me (and it is still in great shape after six months use). Peppermint or Lemon motivate me. Any of your favorite essential oils would be excellent to wear on this specially crafted necklace.
